The theory of Hilbert space operators is developing continuously. One of the area concerns still unsolved problem of existence of nontrivial invariant subspace for a bounded operator on Hilbert space. There are still investigated the specific operators like Toeplitz operators, subnormal operators, infinite band matrices, Jacobi matrices. The spectral type descriptions of operators is also investigated.

The STS "Special classes of Hilbert space operators" will take place on the 4th of July during the 6th European Congress of Mathematics in the Room 218 (Building A3) of the AGH University of Science and Technology.
